• Our Teal / Wigeon whistle is easy to use and blow. When mixed in with Mallard calling, these whistles will have those late season birds diving into your decoys. We now include a whistle drop for your lanyard with each whistle purchase. For Teal, try a series of short, simple "tweets". Or, be really aggressive and “blast” those greenwings with the call!!! One, or both of these tactics will almost always result in turning otherwise picky birds on a dime!!! For Wigeon, we blow a "wee - hee", and accentuate the “wee”. Try cupping your hand over the whistle hole by forming a “C” an inch or so above the call opening. Adjust your hand position so that you are not significantly reducing the air coming out of the opening. With this technique you’re looking to produce a somewhat softer or less bright tone. Once you get this call mastered, Wigeon will talk to you all the way into your decoys.
