Sutter Basin’s new cutdown call has been several years in the making, from concept, to multiple prototypes to finally the finished product! Our cutdown CD-24 call is designed to produce the hard, aggressive, loud bark that a cutdown-style call produces while also excelling at that rolling feed chatter of ducks on the ground. When you’re hunting big weather days or extremely pressured birds, our cutdown is sure to give you that competitive edge to set you apart from the competition!

There are obviously lots of call companies these days producing cutdowns so what makes ours different and sets it apart? We designed the CD-24 to run three different reed configurations to fit every style of mallard hunter out there. When you buy a CD-24 you’ll select which tuning option you want and that’s how we’ll ship the call to you, but we also include the reeds for the other two options as well. Our preference has been to tune the call as a double reed with two 12 mil reeds. The second option is to tune the call as a single reed with one 12 mil reed, this setup is a great option for those new to cutdown style calls and calling. We also tune the call with a single 14 mil reed for callers who like a little more bass in their calls and have some experience with cutdowns, the volume on this option is incredible. Regardless of which of the three options you select we’ll include the reeds for all three.

We’ve spent an enormous amount of time getting this call exactly right. We’re confident in its ability to pull birds and ultimately make your time in the field more successful!
